Oh Hummm news... Well work is getting busy. Partly due to lots of training as they are revamping what we do. It does not seem so hard but we don't have enough time in the day to do what we do now. Add 4 hrs of training a day and we are backlogged. good thing I like to be busy at work! LaTeX is not my friend.. I need lessons. If you know LaTex let me know.
Other good news.. Next Friday my car will be paided off. 3 years ahead of schedule even!
Crappy News... I called Mom and Dad to see if I should go home for Xmas or behand since I need to arranged time off and tickets. My dad replies "well xmas would be nice it will probably be last one I can enjoy as a family". *sigh* Though, he is hell bent on getting his legs strong enough to be walking and fly to hawaii. Which I am glad to hear. He is more stubborn then me so he should be getting "laid" soon.
I love this job! When I went to my boss Tuesday talking about my dad and wanting to go home.. I was told why are you here then. I worked until noon since the flight was at 10:30 pm. they paid me for a full day. I have not met my 60 day requirement for time off yet. My manager worked with HR(since I was only 2 weeks shy) and I can take my 3 personal days to get paid. Leaving me with 6 vacation days and 5 sick days to use if needed. per my manager, Family is important and they will not hold it against me for needing to go home when things get tough.
Well Toledo hasn't changed. My family hasn't changed. I got to the hospital after flying all night to get a call in the elevator telling me to run to my dads room.. they were rushing him to ICU. His blood pressure was at 48 and going lower. Now a DR and nurse were just there and my mom and dad asked them to check the cathader*sp* but they didn't. The heart Dr. has my mom in tears since he was asking about the living will and such. ICU nurses listened to him.. changed the tubes..his pressure jumpped to 78, the pain stopped. A average male holds 400cc of urine.. he had 1100 cc's. He was poisoning himself. I talked to mom and geof.. we fired a DR. had a chat with another and things are better. Dad walked 150 yards today. His brace was refitted properly.
I admit the tumor(3) on is back is going to kill him but not this week. I don't want him suffering or my mom stressing when it can be resolved. Like changing a tube. His DR agree's last Wednsday was not needed or good for either of them and he is taking over with any doctor involved to help my mom out some. If he don't tell my mom to expect a DR in teh room.. she should tell them to leave and call him first.
Well, one of the doctors crossed the line today and my brother is contacting a lawyer. HE walked into my fathers room*my niece was there* and said "well he is at stage four, he is terminal and will be in pain" My mom started asking questions I had asked yesterday and he said " your just a misable old women" and walked out. This is the Doctor I had a issue with yesterday that never an a biospy on the tumor when they found it in DEC but just "guessed it to be a bone degeneration". He had't even spoke to my father in the past 4 weeks as or talked to his Oncologist(his words yesterday). So why he was there today I have no idea..
I will be there by 9am in the morning since I got a red eye out tonight. United does offer emergency flight discounts if you ever wondered. They were 77 cheaper then southwest with the discount.
Work told me to leave at noon so I was ready to go. I am not suppose to worrying about anything about work and I can make up the hours after I get back. I love this company*smile*.
This training is soooo Boring. We have 2 others learning too so I keep having to wait form them before I can do anything. It's my second of waiting. I mean them wanting to do good training is nice but umm. I am getting paided to chat on MSN, yahoo email and play games. I am playing www.battleon.com to amuse myself. Kind of a cute mindless way to pays the day. Good thing my yahoo pen pal can read messages all day long**laugh*.
Hope you all are having fun! I have a 4 day weekend and not a thing to do. Not yet anyway.
So I needed some dress shoes for work. I realized I did not have any closed toed black pumps/heels. Well I have one pair that kill me after about a hour. I bought two nice pairs today. Heck, even Boundwings would be proud of my selection. It seems if I don't look at pricing I have expensive taste. Kenneth Cole and some Italian one with a G I can't spell.. I had to put back. On sale they were still over 100 each but the leather was so nice! I settled on pair Liz Clairborn's that look like penny loafers with a heel and new york transit Pumps with a rounded toe. Mix those with the Kenneth Cole and Hilfiger purses I got a while back and I think I have the accessories set. Maybe a few more dress slacks.
